South Wootton Parish Council had used the same grounds maintenance contractor, a large national company, for many years. However, over time the quality of service began to decline, leading to increasing frustration and concerns regarding the standard of maintenance.
As the existing contract came to an end, Glover Environmental was invited to tender for the grounds maintenance contract. Following a competitive tender process, Glover Environmental was successfully appointed to take over responsibility for the site.
During the initial consultation, it was established that South Wootton Parish Council required regular grass cutting and grounds maintenance throughout the growing season for the churchyard, cemetery, village green, playground and 9 acre field including dykes.
